Karen's Story
Life
I moved back to Portland (kicking and screaming - didn't want to live near my relatives) a 17 years ago when my live-work studio in the Bay Area was sold. Since then I've kind of created a niche for myself in Beaverton and have enjoyed the artistic and personal connections that I've made here. I'm a textile artist and work with re-purposed materials. I run a large non-profit art gallery and am an artist's rep.
My "children" are the kind with 4 legs or 4 tires - I'm car collector (2 pink AMC Ramblers) and an advocate of alternative fuel sources - I run biodiesel in my VW Jetta.

t part of my life. One of the Classmates questions was something like "how would your friends describe you?" and I answered "hard to figure out"... I'm still re-inventing myself, and like the crow, I choose to looking at things curiously sideways.
I promised myself that before I moved out of Portland I would try to get a class reunion together - after 14 years of potluck picnics they continue to be great fun! WE'RE ALWAYS THERE AT THE SAME TIME - EXCEPT IN 2023! We will still be at the TUALATIN COMMUNITY PARK!
